The Quality Improvement Department implements programs and initiatives to improve the health status and satisfaction of members in accordance with approved clinical practice guidelines. Clinical programs are designed to improve the safety, quality of clinical care,
and service delivery to members across all our health plans.

Our goal is to keep our members healthy. To accomplish this, the Quality Improvement Department has designed health promotions and screening programs to help improve your health. These wonderful programs provide you with education, prevention and outreach services so you can take charge and better manage your health.

Heartwise
Heart disease education and outreach program

• Counseling on modifiable health risks and preventive health guidelines
• Education on how to monitor blood pressure, blood sugar, and fat levels regularly
• Smoking cessation tips and program information

Diabetes Control for Life
Manage diabetes with the Diabetes Control Network

• Get tips on diabetes care and healthy living
• Receive reminder telephone calls for check-ups, including tests for sugar and fat levels in the blood, protein in the urine, eye health, and blood pressure control

Women's Health
Preventive education and services for women

• Educational materials on breast and cervical cancer screening
• Reminder telephone calls for screening

Advantage Program
FREE education and outreach programs:

• Preventive guidelines and mental health resources
• Information and resources for a healthy and active lifestyle
• Educational materials on women's and men's health issues
